Here's a list (I don't know if for me or you) of Songs I Listen to Because of the Awesome Music Video. Keep in mind, not all were music videos, some were videos with these in the background. Also, I don't actually like all these songs (I'll let you guess which ones), they just have awesome videos.

1K Project II

This is a movie made with Trackmania Sunrise, a racing game that I never got the hang of...

Anyway, the movie is wonderfully edited and timed with beautiful colors.

Watch it.

By the way, the music is by Moby and thanks to this video I listen to Moby now.

Take that all you people who say that using songs in personal videos is stealing.

Röyksopp Happy Up Here

I have a conspericy theory just on the song I am listening to right now; Happy Up Here by Röyksopp.

As it plays through my headphones my head runs over with formualted ideas and thoughts. This is all normal except for the "formulated" part. My thoughts are generally scattered, which they still are but along a single thread with only slight variants.

Maybe Röyksopp has found a pattern, a tune, a beat, a sequence or a combination of all of the above which stimulates one's mind.

P.S. "Happy Up Here" is an awesome song.

Rhett & Link

Rhett & Link make pretty funny songs. Here are two, the Firework Song (my favorite) and The Facebook Song (which sums up why I dislike Facebook).

This is a great song about the single largest thing I will have no part of (except cell phones):

This is just about how I view Facebook:

BLIND

I like machinima, I really do. But WOW machinima can only go so far before you realize that every time someone dances it is exactly the same dance routine as the last time he danced.

This guy, Percula has perfected machinima to the 'nth* degree. In a machinima called, "The Craft of War: BLIND," Percula has animated the already made WOW models so as to have much more variety in his film.

When you watch it, notice the facial movements, the guard's hand when going up the rail, notice the trumpet blast in the movie is timed with the trumpet in the music, the timing of everything to fit the music, etc.

Just watch it:

The Craft of War: BLIND from percula on Vimeo.

*- I hear people say, 'nth degree, but I'm just guessing at the spelling; for all I know I just insulted the mother of an angry tribal leader of an undiscovered tribe in North Dakota.

The Asteroids Galaxy Tour

Guess where I discovered the band I listened to on repeat all day long today?
An Apple iPod Touch ad, the most recent one.

It's a band called The Asteroids Galaxy Tour.

The only song I've listened to so far is the iPod ad song, "Around the Bend."
It's a fun, catchy song, you should listen to it:

I looked and looked, but I couldn't find the lyrics so I stumbled through and tried to make them out, so here's as close as I have gotten:

Update: I think Justin's lyrics (see comment) are much more accurate.

? around waste another mile now
mark around waste another mile now
you feel the need there is no way to return
you feel the need you feel the need yea it burns
what a ride hot love of ?
yea yea
give me that thing give it up my friend give me good times around the bend i'll stay forever
give me that thing give it up my friend give me hot hot love around the bend i'll stay forever with you
lay down on that is long
whistle
lay me down to whatever brake of dawn
you feel the heat there is noway to return
you feel the need oh yea it burns
take a prune love can be your outpour
yea yea
give me that thing give it up my friend give me good times around the bend i'll stay forever
give me that thing give it up my friend give me hot hot love around the bend i'll stay forever with you
give me that thing give it up my friend give me good times around the bend i'll stay forever
give me that thing give it up my friend give me hot hot love around the bend i'll stay forever with you
Tell me ? Ill stay forever with you
Give me love ? my friend
round the bend
hot hot love

I, know it's pathetic, but it's a start.

I Hate Record Companies

I Hate Record Companies.

Since I don't like redoing what others have already done, this explains everything:

Accordions

On a side note, why does everyone hate the accordions so much?

I've Decided To Start a Band.

My Band's name will be: Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps.

The title of its first album will be: A Progressive Religious Experience.

The Album cover will be:

This is a brilliant idea I StumbledUpon at Aether Everywhere.

Follow this link. The Title of the page is he name of your band. (Mine is, unfortunately already a band.)
Then follow this link and the last four words from the last quote is the name of your first album.
Then follow this link and the third picture is the cover of your album.

It comes up with some really cool results.

SeeqPod

In line with Moody, which I just blogged about, is SeeqPod; an online music player/finder with playlist creation and blog embedding. (As demonstrated below.)

Moody

Moody is a tagger for your iTunes library. It lets you rate songs based on mood so you can listen to whatever you are in the mood for at any given time.

I tried it a while back, but tagging my thousands of songs was too daunting a chore for me to face, so I gave up on it.

Today, in Google Reader, I noticed Moody again. Remembering it I barely glanced at it but when I did I noticed it said now with auto-tagging. Yea.

Looking at it further, I saw that it also had an online music player that used SeeqPod with the mood-finder.

Look at it. Use it. It's great (especially since it doesn't work very well with Internet Explorer).

Not Just a Little Annoying

I ran across a site that has a ton of great little annoying ditties in a nifty little player.

Check it out: http://www.parrygripp.com/

The artwork is made on another site that is just as funny: http://www.scaredofbees.com/default.htm

Greatest Most Annoying Songs

I just found some of the greatest most annoying songs.

The VeggieTales songs in these are not annoying but they are good anyway.

All of these are set to Sonic, so ignore him and listen to the songs.
P.S. Some of these have better videos on Albino Black Sheep but my firewall won't let me go there to link to them.

Pandora

I have rediscovered Pandora Radio.

Though some time ago I had discovered Pandora, I never really liked it, because it never rarely played music I wanted to hear. However, eventually a friend explained to me that it takes thumbing many songs before it knows what you want to hear. I now hear almost no music I don't like. For example, I have been listening to my classical quick mix for 3 hours straight now, and I have only thumbed down two songs.

Try it. It may take some time, but eventually it will be practically perfect.

Musical Roboto

Ever seen a robot play a musical instrument? No, well check this link out.

I can't wait 'till they work AI into the robot's programing, so it can improvise.

But all of those robots pale in comparison to this guy.

Beatboxing Flute Player

This guy rocks, beatboxing while playing a flute.

He's got his songs for sale on iTunes too.
