While looking up a Youtube version of the video for my next post I noticed several new things about the Youtube player.
Look at this screenshot and see if you notice the changes (it's in full screen):
See the little black spot on the timeline? that tells you the timecode where your mouse is pointing allowing for more accurate time selections (if someone tells you watch this at 43 seconds or something like that).
Also, this might less noticeable, the full screen bar at the bottom is about 50% of what it use to be.
Also, when the movie ends and the video zooms out so you can see the link and embed code and related videos, it zooms out less when in full screen.
I have a conspericy theory just on the song I am listening to right now; Happy Up Here by Röyksopp.
As it plays through my headphones my head runs over with formualted ideas and thoughts. This is all normal except for the "formulated" part. My thoughts are generally scattered, which they still are but along a single thread with only slight variants.
Maybe Röyksopp has found a pattern, a tune, a beat, a sequence or a combination of all of the above which stimulates one's mind.
A few days ago a video about a Lego robot called Ogre If you want to know anything about it, go to the creator's site because I won't bother rehashing it here. Suffice it to say, it is really cool.
I took the movie Brian Davis (his name is the one on the website, so I think it's him) made about the robot and made it... stronger. Check it out.
My biggest problem is that he only took pictures and video from a, how it was built standpoint, and not from a, "oh no, it's going to take over the world" standpoint.
I like machinima, I really do. But WOW machinima can only go so far before you realize that every time someone dances it is exactly the same dance routine as the last time he danced.
This guy, Percula has perfected machinima to the 'nth* degree. In a machinima called, "The Craft of War: BLIND," Percula has animated the already made WOW models so as to have much more variety in his film.
When you watch it, notice the facial movements, the guard's hand when going up the rail, notice the trumpet blast in the movie is timed with the trumpet in the music, the timing of everything to fit the music, etc.
*- I hear people say, 'nth degree, but I'm just guessing at the spelling; for all I know I just insulted the mother of an angry tribal leader of an undiscovered tribe in North Dakota.
Guess where I discovered the band I listened to on repeat all day long today? An Apple iPod Touch ad, the most recent one.
It's a band called The Asteroids Galaxy Tour.
The only song I've listened to so far is the iPod ad song, "Around the Bend." It's a fun, catchy song, you should listen to it:

Anyway, in reading about the end of the Internet on geeksaresexy.net, towards the end of the article with the predictions of 2010, is a link to Apple's prediction (from the late 80s) of what they thought computers would be like.
Once you get around the obvious tackiness of the video (give them some slack, that time period thought we'd have flying cars by now) you may began to notice how startlingly accurate they seem to be.
