Quicklook Incomplete Files
I found this out by accident, but if you have an incomplete Quicktime file (from torrents or something) you can push the spacebar and see the random segments that have downloaded. Admittedly, it's a bit hard to watch the movie second by second, but it gives you a way to check the quality and make sure you aren't spending valuable bandwidth just to be Rickrolled.
